2024 Wyoming Legislative Wrap Up

The Legislative session concluded on March 8, 2024 in Cheyenne. HB 0014 Prior Authorization Regulations was passed and signed by the Governor!! The Workplace Violence Against Healthcare Providers did NOT pass thru this year.

This past Monday the Labor Health Committee met to review submissions and go over the topics that might be considered during the interim. Senator Baldwin stated there were 34 pages of requests and then a few more were brought up during the 2 hour meeting. The Committee will review all of the requests and whittle the list down to 10-12 topics. This list goes to another Legislative Committee called Management Council. This committee reviews all of the standing committee requests and trims the lists even more. Each committee is usually given 6-7 topics that are prioritized by Management Council. This priority list will be published later this month or early April.

It's an election year! Candidates must file their application to run for an office by May 31st. he entire House of Representatives and half of the Senate seats will be on the ballot. Please exercise your right and privilege to VOTE or FILE for a seat!!
